Everyone experiences anxiety at some time or another. Our emotions range from negative to positive and this is normal. Negative emotions are actually important for survival because humans feel fear, apprehension, anger, and other emotions in dangerous or difficult situations. In some cases these emotions can get out of hand and actually be detrimental to one’s health.

The problem occurs in the fact that the responses occur when no stimulus is present. In some cases the person will worry almost all the time or others may experience an attack referred to an “anxiety attack.”

There are many symptoms of anxiety disorder. Common ones include chest pain, irritability, state of apprehension, fatigue, exhaustion, restlessness, headache, breathlessness, inability to concentrate, nausea, insomnia, indigestion, inability to relax, as well as others.

There is not a specific reason some individuals experience anxiety unlike with a medical condition where a specific cause does exist. Many different causes can work together negatively and culminate in an anxiety disorder. Many things play a role including life experiences, chemical processes, and other factors. Certain aspects of your life may contribute to anxiety including work pressure, major illness, academic expectations, or other problems. Panic attacks may be caused by constant worry.

Anxiety Remedies

Aromatherapy
Those with anxiety may find aromatherapy to be a good treatment. Any type of aromatherapy may work, but lavender is especially nice. Others include sandalwood and jasmine.
Vitamins
Anxiety may be caused by a deficiency in vitamins. Most frequently, those without enough vitamin B may experience anxiety. A daily B complex vitamin is highly recommended.

Meditation
Techniques like yoga, meditation, and deep breathing can help you calm down. When you are about to have an attack rely on these methods to help you stay calm.

Exercise
A good way to calm down is to include daily exercise in your routine. Physical activity helps fight anxiety and also forces your body to produce endorphins, which make you feel good.

Bathing
Sometimes bathing, whether in cold water or warm, can help you relax and prevent an anxiety attack.

Drink water or tea
Another suggestion is to sip on a cup of tea or drink a glass of water when you feel stressed. This can help you calm down.
