If you suffer from short of breath anxiety then you probably feel like your breathing is labored and forced. You will consciously notice how you are breathing and how difficult it is to catch a breath. You may fear that if you do not force yourself to take every breath that you might stop breathing and simply die. You may also feel like you are yawning frequently in order to try and breathe normally. Anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms and it is common for individuals to have shortness of breath as a result of anxiety. 

Many times these symptoms are a direct cause of stress. It is not uncommon to hear your symptoms referred to as anxiety related because they are. However, the anxiety is caused by stress and when the body is stressed then it will begin to show through various symptoms, anxiety being one of them. Regardless of how you want to refer to these anxiety symptoms, you should be aware of what they are. In general, if you suffer from short of breath anxiety then you may experience other symptoms, too. These could be spiritual, emotional, physical, and/or psychological.

If you are experiencing any of these problems it is your body’s way of letting you know that something is not right. The body produces symptoms to signal the individual that harm is occurring as a result of something. The body tries to get your attention so that you will fix whatever the problem or stress is. You should not be afraid of the anxiety symptoms you are experiencing. Instead, you should be grateful because they are letting you know that something is wrong inside your body. You should pay attention to these symptoms to prevent any further health problems. The anxiety symptoms won’t hurt you, but are rather a result of your body trying to protect itself. 

There are many different anxiety symptoms and each individual may have a different set of symptoms. The symptoms will vary in frequency, intensity, type, and the like. Because of this people should be aware of what anxiety symptoms are, how they might present, and of their own bodies. Some people may have extreme anxiety and only suffer mild symptoms while other people may have many symptoms that are very intense. Individuals suffering from anxiety may experience any level of symptoms, from mild to extreme. 

The best thing to do if you suffer from short of breath anxiety is to talk with your doctor as soon as possible. There are treatments available to you that will help you manage your stress and reduce or relieve your stress symptoms.
